MtronPTI designs and manufactures customized electronic components used primarily to control the frequency or timing of electronic signals in digital and electronics equipment. These components are commonly called frequency control devices, crystals, oscillators or filters. They are used in telecommunications systems to produce a signal that is accurate, stable, and low in electrical noise for wireless, fiberoptic and wireline applications. They are also used in avionics, military and civilian radios, medical instrumentation and Global Positioning Systems. MtronPTI products are typically high-end devices and are often custom designed for specific applications.
MtronPTI was formed by the merger of M-tron Industries, Inc. and Piezo Technology, Inc. in 2004. Each of these companies' success is based on almost 40 years of experience in this field. The company sells these devices directly to original equipment manufacturers and contract manufacturers, and to distributors for resale.
